NYC bagel is better only in the form of a sandwich with lox and cream cheese. Big hole in MTL bagel makes it a poor vessel for a sandwich with cream cheese. The bagels themselves though, it's no contest. I have never seen anyone eat in bagel plan in NYC but MTL bagel are great by themselves.
I would love that! We could talk about gooey butter cake, the St Paul sandwich (you gotta look it up!), pork steaks, and Imo‘s pizza. Seriously, St. Louis has some weird foods. I think it’s the simultaneous mash up of German, Italian, and Irish immigrants, many of whom were here to work in the clay and coal
mines. Though to be fair, I’m not sure any of the above foods came from that. 🤣
